Meet the Team: Perry Wishlow
As you know, Perry will be retiring from the Churchbridge Credit Union next month, after spending nearly 40 years in the Credit Union System. He began in October, 1980 in Canora, and came to Churchbridge in 1995 as the General Manager.
As General Manager, Perry’s job is to oversee the overall operation of the credit union. He guides staff in providing leading edge products and services to our members. He also supports the staff in the implementation of the Strategic Plan, as developed by the Board of Directors. The best part of his job is seeing a member leave the credit union with a big smile on their face because his staff helped provide them with a financial solution they were looking for. He enjoys being part of an organization that can provide financial advice to make members’ lives better.
Perry is very proud of his staff’s volunteerism and community involvement. His favorite volunteering activity is the annual Churchbridge June Daze celebration. It’s always a lot of fun and a great benefit for the community, as well as for all the organizations and businesses who are able to take part in it. The celebration puts Churchbridge and area on the map through all the advertising and marketing that is done on the radio, in the Four Town Journal, posters, mail drops, etc.
Perry’s most memorable moment with Churchbridge Credit Union was the 60th Anniversary Chautauqua Community Family Picnic in the Park Celebration. The staff and board worked really hard planning the event. The day included a great pork supper, local entertainment on the GX94 stage, kid’s games, food booths, and ended with a movie on a big, inflatable scree. It was a lot of fun for all who attended.
The staff of Churchbridge Credit Union would like to wish Perry a wonderful retirement, and thank you for your dedication to our communities these past 25 years.
